Nations Are Imaginary — Humanity Is Real

Borders exist on maps, not in nature. Nations are agreements, constructs created for organization and governance. Humanity, however, is real. Yet people are taught to value flags over lives, ideology over empathy, and national pride over shared humanity. Patriotism without kindness becomes exclusion. Identity without empathy becomes division. A kind species recognizes that while cultures differ, human dignity does not. The suffering of a child on the other side of the world is no less real than the suffering of a child next door. Peace will never prevail until humanity sees itself as one family living in many homes.
