For the past six years, I have traveled the world on what I call The Be Kind World Tour, carrying a simple message that I believe has the power to change humanity:
Be Kind.
Not kindness as a slogan. Not kindness as something we practice only when it is convenient. I am talking about making kindness a way of life—a new consciousness built around three simple commitments:
- Be Kind to Yourself.
Respect yourself. Take care of yourself. Continue learning, growing, and becoming a better human being. - Be Kind to All Others.
Treat people—and all living creatures—with compassion, dignity, understanding, respect, and kindness. - Be Kind to Mother Earth.
Protect our environment. Waste less. Conserve our resources. Leave this extraordinary planet better than we found it.
These ideas are incredibly simple. Living by them is more difficult.
After six years of traveling, speaking, meeting people, and promoting our global Kindness Revolution, I have learned something important: sometimes asking people to change is not enough.
Today, The Foundation for World Harmony has 17,804 Ambassadors of Kindness who have committed themselves to these principles. I am enormously encouraged by every person who has joined us, but 17,804 people in a world of billions is only a beginning.
If we truly want to change humanity, we have to think differently about how we spread kindness.
What If Kindness Could Also Be Rewarded?
The Foundation for World Harmony now has access to revolutionary technologies that have the potential to create tremendous economic and environmental benefits. These technologies can help cities, corporations, data centers, industries, communities, and other major users dramatically reduce electrical costs while introducing new approaches to energy, water, and sustainability.
But we have established an unusual rule of engagement:
To participate in these opportunities through our programs, you must first become an Ambassador of Kindness.
Why? Because we want kindness to have value. We want people who benefit from our network to understand that there is also a responsibility attached to that opportunity.
Our Ambassadors now have opportunities to introduce these technologies within their communities and, when successful and subject to the applicable agreements, earn substantial compensation. At the same time, participating organizations realize significant financial benefits from the technologies they adopt.
In other words, we are attempting to create a system in which doing good and doing well are not opposites.
Everyone can win.
The Ambassador benefits.
The community benefits.
Businesses benefit.
Cities benefit.
Our environment benefits.
And, ultimately, humanity benefits.
Is That “Forcing” People to Be Kind?
Some people might say, “You can’t force someone to be kind.”
They are right.
You cannot control what is inside another person’s heart. But you can create incentives that encourage better behavior. Society does this every day. We create incentives for education, investment, innovation, conservation, employment, charitable giving, and countless other activities.
So why shouldn’t we create incentives for kindness? If someone initially becomes an Ambassador because an opportunity caught their attention, but in the process begins thinking more seriously about kindness, trust, honesty, humanity, and responsibility to our planet, perhaps something important has been accomplished. New ambassadors now have to be invited and sponsored by an existing ambassador.
Maybe they introduce someone else to the Three Commitments.
Maybe they begin treating employees differently.
Maybe they become more conscious of their environmental impact.
Maybe they help their community.
Maybe their children learn from their example.
And maybe, eventually, the incentive is no longer necessary.
The means can help us reach the end—and the end result is what matters: a kinder world.
Imagine an Economy of Kindness. Imagine if kindness were not merely something society praised, but something society rewarded. Imagine businesses wanting to demonstrate that they operate with honesty and integrity. Imagine corporations discovering that environmental responsibility can also make economic sense.
Imagine communities benefiting financially because their citizens work together. Imagine successful people using some of their success to lift others. Imagine children growing up believing that being kind, trustworthy, honest, and responsible are signs of strength and leadership. That is the kind of world I want to help create. I call it the Kindness Revolution.
A revolution does not have to involve violence, anger, or division. This revolution requires something much more powerful: A change in human consciousness. But Kindness Requires Trust. There is another ingredient without which none of this works:
Trust.
We need to learn to trust ourselves.
We need to become people whom others can trust.
We need to rebuild trust between neighbors and communities.
We need leaders and institutions to earn the trust of the people they serve.
We need businesses that keep their promises.
We need governments worthy of public confidence.
And we need to regain trust in our collective future.
Trust cannot simply be demanded. Trust must be earned through honesty, transparency, accountability, and consistent actions. That is why The Foundation for World Harmony has proclaimed September 21, 2026, World Trust Day. It is a day for humanity to think seriously about one of civilization’s most valuable—and increasingly fragile—assets.
Trust.

The End Result
For six years, I have traveled with the belief that humanity can do better.
I still believe it. Wars, poverty, environmental destruction, dishonesty, corruption, greed, hatred, and division are not inevitable characteristics of our future. They are the consequences of choices human beings make. And different choices can produce a different future.
If technology helps us get there, let’s use technology.
If education helps us get there, let’s educate.
If economic opportunity helps us get there, let’s create opportunity.
If rewarding kindness helps create more kindness, let’s reward kindness.
I am less concerned with how humanity arrives at a kinder future than I am with making certain we start moving toward one. Because ultimately:
The end result is what matters.
A world with more kindness.
A world with more honesty.
A world with more trust.
A world that takes better care of its people, its creatures, and Mother Earth.
A world our children and grandchildren will be proud to inherit.
That is our destination.
That is our Kindness Revolution.
And every one of us has the ability to help move humanity one step closer.
Trust yourself.
Be trustworthy to others.
Trust in our future.
