Be Kind Sign
Creating “Be Kind” and Other Positive Message Signs
This is a fun, uplifting activity that brings people together, spreads joy, and supports our Kindness Revolution.
—
Step 1: Organize Your Field Trip
Plan an outing with your class, group, or go solo.
Before you set off, gather everyone and have them repeat after you in unison:
> We are Fantastic!
You are Fantastic!
I am Fantastic!
This simple ritual builds energy, self-confidence, and camaraderie.
During your outing, talk about the environment while collecting wood or other materials suitable for painting. Explain how this activity is good for the body, mind, and planet—it’s exercise, fresh air, and stress relief all in one!
—
Step 2: Paint Your Signs
Paint a bright yellow background and let it dry.
Then add BE KIND or other inspiring messages of kindness.
Explain to your group how these signs will brighten someone’s day, spark a smile, and inspire kindness in others.
—
Step 3: Post Your Signs
Plan another outing to post your signs in your community. You’ll need a hammer and nails.
Share how turning discarded materials into beautiful signs helps the environment. Instead of ending up in a landfill, they now help beautify your neighborhood. This is called Eco Art—art that helps the planet!
—
Step 4: Share or Sell Your Signs
You can:
Sell them to raise money for yourself, your school, church, club, or a local charity.
Or give them away as gifts of kindness.
—
Step 5: Celebrate and Share
Take pictures of your posted signs and send them to us, along with the city they’re in. We’ll share them with the world!
