Weekly Breakdown:

Week 1: Introduction to the Kindness Revolution

Storytime: “The Kindness Revolution ” introduction

Class discussion: What is kindness? Why does the world need a kindness revolution?

Activity: Design a classroom “Kindness Wall”

Introduce the Kindness Pledge

Week 2: Be Kind to Yourself

Lesson: Positive self-talk and mental health

Activity: “Mirror Messages” – Students write a positive affirmation

Art: Draw your “Fantastic Self”

Mindfulness moment: Breathing and gratitude exercise

Week 3: Be Kind to All Others

Lesson: Empathy, listening, and inclusion

Role-play scenarios: Helping a new student, stopping bullying

Activity: “Secret Kindness Agents” – do anonymous kind acts

Week 4: Be Kind to Our Mother Earth

Lesson: Environmental issues (age-appropriate)

Activity: Create a class “Earth Contract”

Project: Start a small classroom garden or recycling project

Week 5: The Kindness Pledge in Action

Memorize and practice reciting the pledge:

“I pledge to be kind to and love myself, I pledge to be kind to and strive to love all others, I pledge to be kind to, love, and respect our Mother Earth. We are all fantastic. (Student points to a classmate) You are fantastic, I am fantastic.”

Class discussion: What does each part mean?

Week 6: Kindness Through Storytelling

Students share stories of kindness they’ve experienced or given

Activity: Create a “Kindness Book” – each student writes and illustrates a page

Week 7: Facing Global Problems with Kindness

Age-appropriate discussion of world issues (poverty, war, greed)

Reflection: How could kindness help?

Activity: Kindness letter writing – to world leaders, elders, or school staff

Week 8: Community Kindness Project

Plan and start a class kindness initiative (e.g., kindness cards, fundraiser, clean-up day)

Week 9: Celebration of Kindness

Class Kindness Awards (every student receives one)
